Entrepreneur family managing time and startup tasks together.

Ever feel like you're spinning plates? One plate is your family, another is your job, and then there's that shiny new startup you're so passionate about

And you're running around like crazy, trying to keep everything in the air, worried that it's all going to come crashing down? Yeah, me too. We've all been there.

Sound familiar? Welcome to the world of the "side hustler," the entrepreneur who's trying to build something amazing while still handling the responsibilities of life. It's not easy. In fact, it's very challenging. But it's also incredibly rewarding. And the good news is, it is possible to manage it all (most of the time!).

Family working together

It's not about finding more hours in a day, but how you can make most of it by following key strategies that I have invented through my experiences:

1.

Prioritized Planning:

This might sound boring, but trust me, it's a game-changer. Sit down each week and list down your priorities.  What are the most important things you can do for your startup this week? What are the things that can’t be negotiated at work? What absolutely has to be done for your family? And Once you have a plan, it's easier to stay focused and avoid feeling overwhelmed.
2.
Block your calendar: Once you know your priorities, block out time in your calendar for each one. Seriously, treat these appointments like you would any other important meeting. Schedule time to work on your startup, dedicated work hours, and even those precious moments for family dinners. And when that time block comes up, stick to it as much as possible.
3.

The Art of Saying "No":

This is a tough one, especially for entrepreneurs. We used to be "yes" people. But when you're juggling so many things, you have to learn to say "no" to anything that's not necessary. It's okay to say “no” to that social event you're not really excited about, or even that "quick favor" someone asks you to do. Your time is precious. Protect it.
4.

Take bad days positively:

Remember that things don't always go as planned. Arguments with spouse, change in deadlines, and sometimes, you'll just have a bad day. That's okay. Don't be too hard on yourself. The key is to keep moving forward, one small step at a time.
5.

Don't Forget Yourself:

Don't Forget Yourself: Things can get crazy, and it's easy to forget about yourself. But remember, you can't help others if you're not taking care of yourself. Make your physical and mental health a priority. Get enough sleep, eat good food, and do things you enjoy, even if it's just for a few minutes each day. You deserve it.

Managing a family, job, and a startup simultaneously can be challenging. There will be days when you feel like you're nailing it and days when you feel like everything is falling apart. But if you can master these strategies, you'll be on your way to achieving your dreams, without losing your mind (or your family!) in the process.
