If you ask your relatives or friends about your idea, there's a high chance that the answers would be “yes”. Or they might also lie to baffle you deliberately. This could lead you to give up on an idea that had the potential to be highly profitable.
Validating your idea does not mean asking people to always give a thumbs up to your idea. They are probably saying good words about your idea just to be nice, but actually they don't really care. If you really want to successfully validate your idea, dig deep.
Otherwise you’ll waste your time, efforts and hard earned money.
So what do you actually need to dig for? First of all you need to know that:
• Do people really face the problem that you are solving?
• Are they really willing to get the solution for it?
• Will they be consuming the hypothesis solution the way you have developed it
To know the answers to these, first of all you need to reach out to the correct TG, ask correct questions at different situations and choose the right technique.
Talk to your audience in such a way that it does not disclose your Idea.
